The first book was published… and then the Polkadots started POPPING into the world.

Bookstores.
Events.
School visits.
Public speaking.
Sharing pieces of my own story (very challenging for me)
Speaking with aspiring high school writers about my process.

The book was even featured on an international YouTube channel and

seen by people around the world.

Unexpected opportunities kept finding their way into my lap, and the

Polkadots were reaching places I never imagined.

​

Then life happened yet again and I closed down.

I was still processing and healing physically and mentally from so much

that had happened, and I stepped back and hid for a while trying to just process it all.

​

During that time, I fell even deeper into creating and working on the second book.

My baby.
My passion project.
A true piece of my heart.

Painting, writing, and designing became my escape.

My way to process, cope, and work through the things I was learning to grow through.

The whole project of the Polkadots became part of my healing journey.

I would disappear into the artwork for hours and days on end,

creating a little more of the Polkadot world each day.

​

The hours and days I have spent building this world are too numerous to count.

Even I can hardly believe how much has gone into it.

​

But I had a vision.

And I wanted to see it through.

I want this to be my life's work and what I leave behind one day.

​

As I kept creating, the vision kept growing.

I no longer saw just another book.

I started imagining an entire world that could hold the books,

the art, the writing, the healing journey, the stories,

the characters, the missions and the creations still waiting to be made.

​

A world with a place to share my creations,

a place to share what I’ve learned,

and a place where others could join in through kindness missions

and lots creative adventures that happen through connection and unity.

​

The world needs so much more of that right now.

​

What if the Polkadots could become a way for us to make a difference together?

What if the Polkadots could become a mission?

A way for all of us to spread kindness, share our experiences,

inspire one another, and create little ripples of good wherever we go.

​

So that became the motivation to keep moving forward.

The vision had become bigger than I ever could have imagined.

​

What started with one little book was becoming an entire world…

and a mission to change the world, one Polkadot at a time.

​

And that is how The Polkadot Space was born!
