Maternity Session Tips:

It is best to schedule your maternity session when you are around 28-34 weeks.  But this will vary with each mommy.  The idea is to come when you are nice and comfortable.  A nice round belly is the perfect way to be!

*It is best to schedule at least 1-2 weeks ahead.

*Bring items you would like to add in your memories of this special time in your life...sonogram pictures, baby shoes, favorite blanket or toy etc...

*Feel fee to bring the daddy or big brother and/ or sister for special memories together.

Newborn photography is challenging, but it’s so amazing to be a part of baby’s life when they are just days old.   I have put together a few tips to help get the very best out of your upcoming newborn session.

*We recommend that you schedule your newborn session before your little one arrives to ensure a spot on my schedule. Contact me during your second trimester and I will pencil you in.  Send me a message as  soon as your little one arrives so we can schedule a time.

*Happy Birthday baby!

Newborn sessions need to be scheduled within the first 14 days of life. The absolute best time is  between 3-7 days after their arrival.

That is the best time to capture those sweet scrunched up, sleepy time newborn images.  Make sure they are sleepy so they allow posing and handling.

*Where do we go? Newborn sessions can take place in your home or if the weather is warm enough and you’re comfortable with the idea, we can take the session outdoors. A baby being all posed and cuddly in a big, open field or at the base of an old tree is ooooo too adorable!

Worried because your house is a mess?  You just had a BABY!  I don't need much space and I promise to avoid any problem areas in your sweethearts photos.

*A well fed baby is a happy baby! Please feed and burp baby right before our session to ensure a happy, sleepy baby.  I will also take as many snack breaks as needed to help our little one.  After all,  it is very  tough being a model!

*Patience is key....relax!

*I have tons of props however if you have any family heirlooms, toys, hats, props, etc. that you would like me to use in your session, please let me know and then gather them before I arrive. We may not use them all but I will determine what will work the best.
