I am Jenny Westbrook
Creating has always been my way of processing the painful world I’ve lived in—the childhood trauma, narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, and so much more. Art became not just an escape, but a tool for survival. It allowed me to express what words couldn’t, to make sense of the chaos, and to carve out a space where I could be myself in a world that often made me feel unseen.
For years, I’ve shared my creations online, but only in limited ways. I’ve kept them small, not fully allowing myself to step into the larger world of art and creativity. The voices in my head told me I wasn’t good enough, that I had nothing of value to offer. But over time, I’ve realized that hiding my art isn’t about self-doubt anymore; it’s about fear—fear of rejection and the belief that I don’t deserve to share my truth with the world.
Now, I’m done hiding. It’s time to step into my own light, to stop listening to the voices that hold me back, and to share my work on a larger scale. My art, whether through photography, design, writing, or any other medium, is a reflection of my journey—a journey I’m no longer willing to keep to myself.
The process of creating has been incredibly healing, helping me reclaim parts of myself that were once suppressed or silenced. I’m finally allowing myself to follow the path I’ve always known is mine. Each piece I share is a step forward in embracing who I am and the unique vision I have to offer the world.
Creating is my purpose, and I’m no longer waiting for the “perfect” moment to share my work. The time is now.
